A Skoda Kushaq owner wants to exchange his SUV for the new Mahindra XUV700. In a weird series of events, the new XUV700 has shaken up the entire mid-size SUV segment. Its effects can be felt in the 5-seat, as well as the 7-seat SUV segment. No one thought that Mahindra could launch a 5-seat version of the XUV700 before the 7-seat version goes on sale. This has the potential of suddenly making the demarcations between 5-seat and 7-seat mid-size SUV blur. The likes of Creta, Seltos, Kushaq, Harrier, Hector could all get affected. One example of something in that direction is a Skoda Kushaq owner wanting to exchange his SUV for Mahindra XUV700. Here are the details of the entire incident.

Skoda Kushaq Owner Wants Mahindra XUV700
In a Facebook group, Mahindra XUV700 Club India, one Kushaq owner expressed that he wishes to exchange his Kushaq for the XUV700. He asked the members if Mahindra takes cars from other brands for exchange. This is not the first time that a Kushaq owner seems dissatisfied with the SUV. In some other instances, people faced issues with their brand new Skoda Kushaqs. This is quite unprecedented for the Czech carmaker that is always known for making high-quality products.

Some speculate that the 5-seat version could very well affect the sales of Creta and Seltos, while others think that the Mahindra XUV700 is a competitor to only Safari, Hector Plus and Alcazar. At this point in time, it is not easy to predict what might happen. But looking at such instances and the aggressive pricing that Mahindra has come up with, it won’t be a surprise if we witness the XUV700 snatching some sales away from the other 5-seat mid-size SUVs.

Specs
Compared to the 115 PS 1.5-litre NA petrol or 140 PS 1.4-litre turbo petrol in the Creta and Seltos, 115 PS 1.0-litre TSI and 150 PS 1.5-litre TSI petrol in Kushaq (and Taigun), the XUV700 has a much powerful 200 PS 2.0-litre Turbo petrol engine. That is one powerful engine and the comparison isn’t even close. Having priced around the same region, Mahindra XUV700 has the potential to take on the Kushaq, Creta and others.
