The 2021 Honda Amaze facelift will launch on August 18 but ahead of its official debut, a small video clip of a totally uncamouflaged unit has surfaced on the web. The said video starts by giving us a glimpse of the outgoing model and then continues to highlight the front-three-quarters and the interior of the updated model. Bookings for the 2021 Honda Amaze facelift have started today and one can pre-order the sub-compact-sedan at any authorised dealership for a token amount of Rs 21,000. Alternatively, one can even book the car online through the “Honda from Home” section of the company’s official website for an amount of Rs 5,000. The refreshed Amaze will receive a host of minor styling updates along with some new colour options.
The front-end of the refreshed Amaze comes with new LED headlamps, a restyled grille and an updated bumper. In the side profile, the car gets a new set of alloy wheels similar to the ones seen on the last-gen Honda City. Other than this, the taillamps are new and carry a C-shaped glow pattern for the LED bulbs. Inside, the sub-compact-sedan receives new upholstery along with an updated dashboard that carries an upgraded touchscreen infotainment unit. The new system supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are good chances that the Maruti Dzire-rival would even get Alexa voice support similar to what the latest City gets. Akin to the outgoing model, the 2021 Honda Amaze facelift will be available with both petrol and diesel power options. The former is a 1.2-litre unit good for 90PS-110Nm, while the latter is a 1.5-litre oil-burner that outputs 100PS-200Nm with the manual transmission and 80PS and 160Nm with the CVT. Also, it’s important to mention here that the Amaze is the only model in its price segment to offer the Diesel-CVT combo. Currently, the second generation Amaze is priced from Rs 6.3-11 lakh (ex-showroom) and is the second-best-selling C1-segment sedan after the hot-selling Maruti Dzire. Other rivals of this vehicle include the Ford Aspire, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor.
