Would you be shocked if we told you that the initial price of the Innova at its debut in India in 2005 was around Rs 6.82 lakh, ex-showroom? We bet you don’t even remember that the Innova was this affordable at one point in time. But with the market owned by the likes of Toyota Qualis and Chevrolet Tavera, the MPV segment was not something that everyone knew about back then. It was the Innova that changed the game and replaced the Tavera. The key difference was a much more comfortable ride quality, better cabin features and space in comparison to the typical SUV. This trend caught on slowly and was bound to be a huge market in times to come. The price range at that point in time was around Rs 7 lakh to Rs 11 lakh.

Currently, the Innova Crysta has been priced between Rs 16.52 lakh and Rs 24.59 lakh, ex-showroom and has more private users than ever.
