Mahindra Thar Petrol Problems – Ownership Experience
The video starts by showing the exterior of the Thar. Overall, the owner is quite satisfied with the SUV’s performance and engine. However, there are a few problems that he faces even after spending over Rs 16 lakh for the automatic version. The main problem that he struggles with is the overall fit and finish of the cabin. He complaints about the squeaking noise that comes from the driver’s seat itself. Apart from that, he mentions that a lot of people have the worry of rusting as the parts are shared by Scorpio which also suffered from the same issue. Some of the plastic panels are also not of the best quality.

Another very prominent issue with the Mahindra Thar petrol is the wheel alignment. The owner is showing that his Thar is steering towards the left automatically even though he got the alignment done just a week ago. This is something that other Thar owners have also mentioned in their review. Then the speedometer is also not working properly which will be remedied after a software update. He installed a camera as well. But the wiring of that was not set in place properly. Lastly, the rubber fitting on the roof came off which could potentially lead to water leakage although it has not been a problem with this owner till now.
