Slated to launch next month, the Mahindra XUV700 will be one feature-laden offering with several first-in-segment features that will be made available at least on the top-end trim. Mahindra & Mahindra has already released a series of teaser videos that have revealed some of these segment-first features and now, the latest clip, which was released earlier today, has made public that the XUV700 will be equipped with a ‘Smart Air Filter’ technology that will be capable of filtering out 99 per cent bacterias and 95 per cent viruses.

The provision of this filter makes immense sense in the present times as an air-borne virus has caused havoc around the world. Moreover, given the air pollution levels in most cities, having this piece of kit is certainly helpful. Earlier, the carmaker had revealed other first-in-class bits like a huge panoramic sunroof, Range Rover Velar-like flush-fitting door handles, high beam assist, and driver drowsiness detection system. Other than this, the upcoming model will also offer a 360-degree camera, a Mercedes-like twin-touchscreen display setup for the infotainment unit and the instrument cluster, a dual-zone climate control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless smartphone charger, ventilated front seats, and connected car technology. Another highlight here will be the MG Gloster-like Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) that would offer driving aids like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, cross-traffic alert, blind-spot detection system and auto emergency braking.
