The Mahindra XUV700 must have by now become the most spied new car in many years. And right when we thought we’ve seen enough of he spy pics, a fresh batch of shots of an XUV700 have surfaced online. These pictures reveal an important styling detail – the alloy wheels. By the looks of it, they might belong to the mid-trim of the 7-seat SUV. The overall body still remains under wraps. Mahindra is planning the launch of the XUV500-replacement very soon. We might see the XUV700 debut in August 2021, according to some reports. The 7-seat mid-size SUV segment is set to get exciting with this addition. Currently, the SUVs ruling the charts include Tata Safari, MG Hector and the recently launched, Hyundai Alcazar, which is based on the Creta. Mahindra has already teased a ton of unique, segment-first features officially and there is no reason to believe that the XUV700 will not be the most feature-packed SUV in its segment. Mahindra XUV700 Spy Shots Reveal New Alloy Wheels
The SUV looks larger in overall dimensions than the current model on sale. We have already seen that the XUV700 will feature bold C-shaped LED headlamps with angular DLRs and the typical vertically slated front grille with chrome inserts. In these images, the alloys wheel design looks much simpler. This indicates that this might be the mid-spec variant of the SUV. The rear remains buried under the covers but the rear wiper and a glimpse of tail lamps are still visible.

Features
The confirmed feature list includes things like Auto Booster Headlamps increasing the intensity and throw of light rays when the car gets over 80 kmph, Smart Door Handles which pop out when they sense someone near, Safety alerts in your loved one’s voice to give you a personal and customizable experience, the largest panoramic sunroof in the segment and a ton more. Other expected features include Level 1 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) features like Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, etc. As is generally the case with Mahindra, we can expect it to be one of the safer SUVs around.

Expected Specs and Prices
The powertrain options might include a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine with direct injection technology from Mahindra’s very own mStallion range of engines, making 190 hp and 380 Nm and a 2.2-litre tried and tested diesel engine that might be tuned to put out around 185 hp of max power. There will be options of 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearboxes with these engines. There might be hybrid powertrain options as well to aid the fuel economy and probably the power figures slightly. The prices of the Mahindra XUV700 are expected to be in the range of Rs 16 lakh to Rs 22 lakh, ex-showroom.
