As we all know, the deliveries of the mid-size SUV have begun pan India. Events like these are organized to offer the customers a unique car delivery experience. Considering the fact that this is Skoda’s make-or-break product in the second innings of its journey in India, it makes sense to try something like this. Based on the MQB A0 IN platform, specially developed for our market, Kushaq boasts of the legendary TSI engines from the VW family. The only question that remains is whether all this will translate into healthy sales for the Czech carmaker or not.

Skoda Kushaq Royal Delivery
This dealership in Bangaluru decided to deliver all the Kushaqs that day to the customers in this fashion. Every customer was greeted in the traditional Indian style with garlands and a royal turban at the time of delivery. Cake-cutting ceremonies also took place before handing over the keys to their owners. To take this event to the next level, prominent personalities including an Actor and MLA also marked their presence to commemorate this occasion. Experiences like these will help Skoda gain a positive image and people are likely to be drawn toward the brand. This is something that Skoda lacked the last time around and is trying hard to change.

The deliveries of the 1.0-litre TSI variants have already commenced. The bigger, 1.5-litre engine-powered Kushaq will start arriving at the dealerships from next month onwards. The mid-size SUV by Skoda will challenge the massive popularity of products like Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Whether or not it will be able to achieve that remains to be seen. But one thing is for sure, such royal deliveries of the Skoda Kushaq will leave a positive impression among the customers.

The Skoda Kushaq will share the VW’s legendary TSI Turbo Petrol engines. This includes the 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine, making 115 PS and 175 Nm and its bigger sibling, the 1.5-litre TSI turbo petrol unit making 150 PS and 250 Nm. Complementing the 1.0-litre engine will be a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The larger 1.5-litre unit will come mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG (DCT) gearbox. The prices of the Kushaq range between Rs 10.50 lakh and Rs 17.60 lakh, ex-showroom.
