MINI has launched its hatchback range in India. This includes three versions; MINI 3 Door, MINI Convertible and MINI John Cooper Works (JCW). The range starts at Rs 38 lakh for the 3 Door, Rs 44 lakh for the Convertible and Rs 45.50 lakh for the JCW Version ex-showroom. The entire range is available in a petrol-only variant and CBU (Completely Built-up Unit) form. There are plenty of changes to the MINI range on the outside as well as on the inside. MINI 3 Door, Convertible & JCW – Exterior Design
The exteriors now feature a typical MINI appearance with modern elements. The front fascia features the hexagonal grille with trademark round LED headlamps, characteristic honeycomb pattern along with integrated fog lamps along with the sporty bumper design and vertically positioned air-intake vents for increased aerodynamics. The sides host the LED turn indicators on the redesigned side scuttles, new contours around the wheel arches, 17-inch light-alloy wheels (18-inch for the JCW trim) and short and sophisticated overhangs. The rear features the typical LED Union Jack-style tail lamps along with LED fog lamps. Overall, the JCW features a bit more additional design elements but all three hatches look unique and typically MINI. The MINI 3-Door Hatch and the MINI Convertible will be available in four new colours –Rooftop Grey metallic, Island Blue metallic, Enigmatic Black and Zesty Yellow.

MINI 3 Door, Convertible & JCW – Interiors and Features
The MINI range is designed to pamper you and offer you the latest comforts and features. This includes things like Silver or Aluminium design elements on the inside of the cabin, genuine leatherette material upholstery in various shades, new multifunction steering wheel design, an 8.8-inch colour touchscreen digital infotainment display, with touch-sensitive buttons with Piano Black Finish, Ambient Lighting, optional 5-inch Multi-functional Instrument Cluster, Navigation System, Wireless Charging, Enhanced Bluetooth Connectivity, Apple CarPlay, Harmon Kardon Hi-Fi Speaker System, Driver Assistance Systems include Cruise Control, Park Assistant, Rear View Camera and Head-Up Display and much more.

MINI 3 Door, Convertible & JCW – Safety
On the safety front, the MINI range has a ton of equipment including front passenger airbags, Brake Assist, 3-Point Seat Belts, Dynamic Stability Control, Crash Sensor, Anti-lock Braking System, Cornering Brake Control, Run-flat tyres, Rear-View Camera as standard, Rollover Protection System and much more.

MINI 3 Door, Convertible & JCW – Engines and Transmissions
The MINI 3 Door and Convertible come with a 2.0-litre Twin-Turbo petrol engine making 192 hp and 280 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. This engine is mated to a 7-Speed Double Clutch Steptronic Transmission enabling a 0-100 kmph timing of 6.7 seconds for the 3 Door and 7.1 for the Convertible. The JCW version gets the same engine in a higher state of tune making 231 hp and 320 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. This engine is mated to an 8-Speed Steptronic Sport Transmission and 0-100 kmph is achieved in just 6.1 seconds. There is a provision of the Paddle Shifters with the JCW trim for added sportiness.
