BMW has announced that it will replace its current 3 Series Gran Turismo with a brand new 3 Series Gran Limousine in India. India will be the first right-hand-drive market to get this model. The new Gran Limousine will launch on January 21, 2021. BMW will add this to its fleet in India and it will sit in between a regular 3 Series and the 5 Series. BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine – Exterior
The new Gran Limousine will have a longer wheelbase than the regular 3 Series by 110 mm. The overall length of the Gran Limousine is 120 mm more than the 3 Series. This naturally translates to a much more enhanced and comfortable rear seat comfort. The rear doors also get wider, which makes the rear ingress much more convenient. The legroom is positively affected by those additional dimensions. The exterior is, however, similar to the 3 Series. Even the features are common with the regular 3 Series.

BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine – Interior
The interior of the new BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine will share similarities with the regular 3 Series. It will continue to get features like the Automatic 3-zone air conditioning with rear air vents and control, Electrical seat adjustment for driver and passenger with memory function for the driver, Gearshift paddles, Electric Glass Sunroof, 8.8” (22.3 cm) central information display (CID) with touch functionality with iDrive Touch with handwriting recognition and direct access buttons Voice Control. Only rear comfort will be enhanced in contrast to the regular 3 Series.

BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine – Engine and Transmission
The BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine is likely to get the 2.0-litre twin-turbo petrol engines making 258 hp and 400 Nm. The 2.0-litre diesel unit will make 190 hp and 400 Nm. The transmission will also be the same as the regular 3 Series, 8-speed Steptronic Automatic Transmission. This quick-shifting transmission unit gives the Gran Limousine a 0-100 kmph acceleration time of 5.8 secs in petrol and 6.8 in diesel powertrain guise.

BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine – Prices and Competition
The BMW 3 Series ranges between Rs 42.3 lakh and Rs 49.3, ex-showroom. The new 3 Series Gran Limousine will sit above this price bracket and below the 5 Series. BMW will announce the official prices with the launch of Gran Limousine. The BMW Gran Limousine will compete against the like of Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4 facelift and Jaguar XE.
