While we had already reported to you with completely undisguised spy images of the Jeep Compass facelift earlier last month, these new images give us a sneak peak of the interiors of the Compass, which is where the bulk of changes have been made.
Jeep has dropped a few official teaser images of the upcoming Compass facelift. While we had already reported to you with completely undisguised spy images of the Jeep Compass facelift earlier last month, these new images give us a sneak peak of the interiors of the Compass, which is where the bulk of changes have been made. The Jeep Compass facelift will officially debut at the 2020 Guangzhou International Motor Show. The updated Compass is then expected to arrive in India sometime in 2021. Let’s take a closer look at what’s in store.
Although the design updates to the exterior aren’t as comprehensive as was expected, there’s still a lot going around here. First up, the headlamps are a lot sleeker than before, with the lower portion being a little more angular than earlier. The headlamp inserts are new as well and full-LED lights are expected to be standard on most of the variants across the range. Although the grille remains the same in the size, the details are all-new with prominent honeycomb-like inserts. The lower bumper is however completely new and features a large air dam that runs end-to-end connecting the two fog lamps at either ends.
While these images do not give us a glimpse at the rear of the SUV, we only expect minor tweaks at the rear. The tail lamps might be slightly tweaked with new inserts and LED elements and the rear bumper too might be slightly reprofiled. Although the Compass remains mostly unchanged in profile, there will be new designs for the alloy wheels. It is however when you step inside the new Jeep Compass, you are greeted by much more premium and special interiors. And the biggest talking point has to be the new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

These teaser images give us the first ever glimpse of the interiors of the Compass facelift. The dashboard has been completely redesigned around the new touchscreen infotainment system. The climate controls system too get a new design along with redesigned AC vents. The Compass facelift will even feature leather inserts on the dashboard with double stitching and that’s a particularly neat touch. The dashboard of the Compass facelift is also expected to feature better quality materials and there could be a fully-digital instrument cluster on the higher variants of the Compass.

The Compass facelift will however remain unchanged under the hood here in India. It will continue with its updated BS6-engine lineup that includes a 1.4-litre turbo petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine, both available with the option of manual or automatic gearboxes. The changes are however expected to carry a premium over the current model’s price which ranges from Rs 16.49 lakh to Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of the Hyundai Tucson, Skoda Karoq and even the upcoming Citroen C5 Aircross.
