Hero has launched the Splendor+ Black and Accent edition with three custom liveries which were chosen as winners from the ‘Hero CoLabs’ contest. While the motorcycle gets an all-black paint scheme as standard, the liveries can be brought separately.
The festive season is upon us and naturally, there will be a slew of special edition launches from a number of manufacturers. In fact, Hero MotoCorp themselves seem to be in a launch spree, now rolling out the forth special edition model this festive season. Following the Hero Maestro Edge 125 Stealth Edition, Hero Glamour Blaze Edition and Hero Pleasure+ Platinum, Hero has now launched the Splendor+ Black and Accent Edition priced at Rs 64,470 (ex-showroom Delhi)
What’s special about the Hero Splendor+ Black and Accent Edition?
The Splendor+ Black and Accent edition gets an all-black paint scheme with special customizable liveries. Customer can choose between three liveries – Beetle Red, Firefly Golden and Bumble Bee Yellow – or even choose the motorcycle without any livery at all but completely painted in black. That includes the exhaust pipe, engine and the alloy wheels. If you opt for any of the three liveries, then each of them have to be brought separately for a price of Rs 899. Additionally, you can also opt for the whole special edition kit that includes the graphics, 3D Hero logo and a rim tape, the package priced at Rs 1,399.
There’s a little story to these special liveries….
These three unique liveries were selected as winners of the ‘Hero CoLabs’ contest that was held earlier this year. This is a segment-first option ever offered by any manufacturer. The contest saw over 10,000 registrations with different graphic design themes for the Splendor+. Hero selected the top three designs from this contest and put it to production with the Splendor+ Black and Accent edition.

How is this different and similar to the standard Splendor+?
Th standard Hero Splendor+ gets a silver finish for the alloy wheels and the engine along with a chrome cover for the exhaust pipe. In the Black and Accent edition, everything gets blacked out. The special edition model is however only a cosmetic makeover. The mechanicals and hardware remain exactly identical to the standard bike. It is powered by a BS6 compliant 97.2 cc single-cylinder engine that develops 8 bhp and 8.05 Nm of peak torque, while paired with a 4-speed gearbox.
