Tata has hiked the price of Nexon EV by a small amount, and from today, it will be applicable to all the dealerships across the country.
Tata Nexon EV gets a mild price of Rs 26,000 for the XZ+ and XZ+ Lux variants, while the price of the base variant remains the same. The reason for the price hike remains unknown, but we are speculating increase in the manufacturing costs. The prices of the EV continue to start off at Rs 13.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
The XZ+ variant goes for Rs 15.25 Lakhs, whereas the top-end variant goes for Rs 16.25 Lakhs, now. It is still the most affordable electric SUV and among the most affordable EVs of the country. Just a couple of months back, Tata confirmed the sale of first 1,000 units of Nexon EV.

Powering the Nexon EV, is a 30.2 kWh electric motor with an IP67 rated lithium-ion battery pack, producing 129 PS and up to 245 Nm of peak torque. The maximum torque is produced only on the Sport Mode, which sees a 60% torque boost. It can sprint from 0-100 km/hr in just 9.9 seconds.
The total claimed driving range of Tata Nexon EV stands at 312 kilometres, which in real world driving range can come down to 220-230 kilometres. It comes with a standard AC wall charger for free with the car, which will take about 8-9 hours. If you use a public fast charger, you can get it charged up to 80% in just 60 minutes.
Nexon EV gets features such as cruise control, electric sunroof, rear parking camera, high water wading capacity, 16-inch alloy wheels, digital instrument cluster and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Soon, Tata is also going to launch the electric version of Altroz hatchback, which will be the most affordable EV from their stable.
