Some new spy images of the Toyota Crysta Innova facelift has surfaced on the internet but this is an Indonesian-spec model and the India-spec Innova Crysta facelift could be a little different. It’s expected to come to India sometime next year.
We reported to you with spy images of the new Toyota Innova Crysta facelift sometime ago. The updated MPV will soon be launched in Indonesia before it makes it to India sometime next year. Just before its launch in Indonesia, some new spy images have surfaced on the internet which gives us a great look at the updated MPV. The current-gen Toyota Innova Crysta have been around since 2016 and it hasn’t received any major cosmetic makeover since then. While the overall shape remains the same, the Innova Crysta packs in a lot more bling now.
Most of the changes are concentrated on the face of the MPV with the new grille being the most obvious change. Not only is the grille larger than before, it comes finished in black with five horizontal slats instead of the two chrome-finished ones seen on the present car. There is still some chrome though, in the form of a chrome surround around the entire grille. As for the headlights, while their size and shape remain the same, they get new chrome extensions that merge into the grille.
The bumper down below has also been completely revised with a much more aggressive and sporty design. The fog lamps are now vertically housed with a thick, triangular black surround in a deep inset in the bumper and it also features an integrated bull bar (well, sort of) finished in a contrast black shade with two additional fog lamps. The Innova Crysta facelift also gets new design for the alloy wheels which come finished in silver or dual-tone darker look, depending on the variant. There are however not many changes to the rear of the car.

It must however be noted that the model shown here in the Indonesian-spec car, where its sold as the Kijang Innova. The India-spec Innova Crysta facelift could be slightly different from the car seen in these images here and will perhaps feature a little more chrome to suit local tastes. As for the engine options under the hood, Toyota just updated the engines on the Innova Crysta as we transitioned into the BS6 era and its unlikely there will be any further changes with the coming of the facelift. That means it will continue with its current 2.4-litre diesel or a 2.7-litre petrol engines.

Although we haven’t seen any images of the interiors of the Innova Crysta facelift, Toyota is expected to add some more equipment on the India-spec MPV. Such features could include a full TFT MID in the instrument cluster, a new digital automatic climate control system and ambient roof lighting system. Toyota will be introducing a facelift for the Fortuner in India as well, which was unveiled globally earlier this year. With an updated Fortuner and Innova Crysta and with the addition of the Urban Cruiser to their lineup as well, Toyota will have a completely refreshed lineup in India by next year.
