Maruti Suzuki and Delhi Police have excecuted the second phase of traffic and speed violation detection system now watching you all the time!
To reduce the number of road accidents and apprehend offenders, Maruti Suzuki and Delhi Police have come together again. Automated Red Light Violation Detection (ARLVD) and Speed Violation Detection System (SVDS) were recently implemented at some main junctions of Delhi NCR covering most of the 23 Kilometer Ring Road. Now, more roads and junctions come under the strict observation.
In phase II of the Traffic Safety Management System (TSMS), Maruti Suzuki has executed the radar and camera project at three additional junctions. These dense vehicular movement junctions are main ITO, Naraina (on Ring Road) and Rao Tula Ram Marg-Outer Ring Road intersection in South Delhi. The first phase covers the corridor between Mayapuri and Sarai Kale Khan.

As per the Delhi Police and Maruti Suzuki, many motorists have started being conscious about the speed limits and red light violations. The number of traffic offences regarding these two have considerably gone down. The implementation of phase II of Traffic Safety Management System will make Delhi roads even safer.
The completely automated system monitors and controls violation-capturing until the issuance of e-challans. It has also increased awareness of pedestrian safety and helped in smooth traffic movement. For those who think that they can suddenly lower the speed before the speed camera, they might still get a challan as it can support distance viewing.
The system automatically encrypts and transfers the data of violation to the centralized server at Delhi Traffic Police Headquarters. It facilitates the generation of e-challans along with photo evidence and sends it to the violators through SMS. The system is also capable of doing data-analytics and generates trend reports to monitor system-effectiveness and efficiency.
