Mahindra dealerships have already started stocking up on replica Jeep Grilles for the upcoming new generation 2020 Thar.
Mahindra has finally unveiled the new generation Thar on 15th August, Independence day. All the details regarding its engine, gearbox options, rooftop choices and features have been revealed. Now, we are just waiting for the prices that will be announced on 2nd October, followed by the commencement of bookings.
Dealerships have also started receiving the new Thar. The demo cars are now available to see but we are not sure if the test drives are operational as of now. Ahead of the launch in October, Mahindra dealerships have already started storing the Jeep grille replicas, if the buyer wants that.

A lot of interested people have liked the SUV but do not go with the grille. By our personal experience, even we found that the grille does not go with the dominating nature of new Thar. Very soon, there will be aftermarket shops selling the Jeep Wrangler grilles as a replacement. Instead, Mahindra dealerships have decided to provide it on their own.
If you are buying it from a dealership, then you will already have it fitted before taking the delivery. Also, these grilles are already available in all the colours of the new Thar. See, Mahindra could not use this grille as an official component because of the legal issues that it might face with Jeep. So, instead, it went with its own version.
Talking about the Thar, it gets a 2.0 Litre petrol engine and a 2.2 Litre turbodiesel engine, both brand new. The petrol engine is good for 150 BHP and 320 Nm of torque and the diesel engine produces 130 BHP with the same 320 Nm torque. Also, both share a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox options.
