Hyundai has now launched the Venue iMT, which gets a manual gearbox without a clutch. The prices now start from Rs 10 Lakhs.
While Kia announced the use of a clutchless manual gearbox for Sonet first, Hyundai is the first one to bring it for the Venue. The sub compact SUV now gets the iMT gearbox, which is first of its kind in India. You can call it a semi-automatic car as it gets a 6-speed manual stick but no clutch pad.
Hyundai Venue iMT gets an electro-mechanically actuated clutch that notifies the driver to shift gears based on the pressure on the clutch. Basically, this gearbox option is for those people who want the comfort of an automatic car but do not want to lose out on the driving experience that a manual stick offers.

Hyundai Venue Turbo SX Manual goes for Rs 9.79 Lakhs which is just Rs 21,000 cheaper than the SX iMT. As for the SX(O) MT, it goes for Rs 10.85 Lakhs making it Rs 25,000 cheaper. If we put their dual tone variants against the iMT variants, the price difference gets lower to Rs 5,000 for the SX DT and Rs 11,000 for the SX(O) DT.
While the DCT gearbox comes with its exclusive SX+ variant, which is priced from Rs 11.35 Lakhs. While DCT gearbox is anyway one of the best automatic gearboxes and is aimed at the performance itself, there’s nothing beating a manual gearbox. The engine in question is a 1.0 Litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 120 PS and 172 Nm of peak torque.
