This Chevrolet Cruze has been modified to produce an enormous amount of torque, that’s even higher than a Fortuner or Endeavour!
Auto enthusiasts will never forget the might of Chevrolet Cruze. That was one of the first diesel cars in India that made people diesel heads. With its classic American looks, a premium cabin and powerful engine, it was considered Chevrolet’s one of the best cars for India. Sadly, it made an hasty exist as the brand quit India a couple of years ago.
Here’s one example of a tastefully modified Chevrolet Cruze which gets a major power and torque bump. With its original 2.0 Litre turbo diesel engine, the sedan is good for 164 BHP and 360 Nm of peak torque. With modifications done, it now produces 220 BHP and 510 Nm of peak torque. That’s a bump of nearly 56 BHP and 150 Nm!

To achieve this, the owner has done Stage 2 Code6 Tuning to the sedan, equipped it with Custom Axle-Back Exhaust System and BMC Intake filter. Stage 2 tunings are usually not done, because they are costlier and tougher to maintain. We have also seen one modified car, that is the first one to get a Stage 3 Tuning.
Further modifications include Tein Lowering Springs and 18-inch AD Rims Wrapped in 235/40/18 Rubber. Cosmetic upgrades include projector headlamps, custom dual-tone Silver and Black body wrap and a Rear Lip Spoiler. It does not get too many modifications but just enough to make it a tasteful car.
Chevrolet Cruze was discontinued back in 2017 due to the company’s decreasing growth in the Indian market. It was a premium executive sedan that went against Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla Altis, Hyundai Elantra and Skoda Octavia. Now, years down the line, the segment only comes with Civic and Elantra, the former being discontinued and relaunched.
