Volkswagen has commenced the deliveries of BS6 Polo across the country, however, the automatic variants are yet to be properly launched.
Volkswagen launched the BS6 Polo a couple of months ago with a new petrol engine. Now, we can confirm that the deliveries of the BS6 Polo have commenced across the India. The deliveries have commenced a couple of days back with the first many deliveries have started in the cities of South India.
However, the deliveries for only manual variants have only commenced now. The automatic variants have been launched however, they are yet to make to the production line. Reports suggest that the deliveries of BS6 Volkswagen Polo AT variants will commence in August, once the production is in proper place.

Due to the nationwide lockdown, the productions of every manufacturer were affected. To recover the losses and to deliver cars to the existing buyers, all of them decided to focus on their existing cars first. That’s why most of the car launches have been delayed in India by a couple of months.
BS6 Polo continues with its 1.0 Litre three-cylinder MPI engine but also gets a new 1.0 Litre TSI engine. The latter produces 110 PS and 175 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT. The MPI engine only gets a 5-speed manual gearbox. The same TSI engine also comes on the VW Vento and Skoda Rapid.
The 7-speed DSG gearbox, as well as the 1.2 Litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine, has been discontinued. Other than this, there are no further upgrades on the BS6 Polo. Recently, VW equipped the Highline Plus variants with the TSI engine along with the GT Trims. So now, you can get the famous TSI engine for even cheaper.

The prices of Volkswagen Polo commence at Rs 5.82 Lakhs going up to Rs 6.76 Lakhs for the MPI variants. The TSI variants are priced from Rs 7.89 Lakhs up to Rs 9.59 Lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi). The GT and Highline Plus trims get the 6-speed AT gearbox as an option.
