This modified Skoda Superb looks like a sleeper but has absolutely bonkers performance, thanks to several stages of modifications. The quarter mile in this comes up in just 10.9 seconds. That’s faster than most sportscars out there!
When we talk about the Skoda Superb, sportiness is not the first word that comes to your mind. The Skoda Superb is a really luxurious sedan that is actually a much cheaper alternative to the German entry-level luxury sedans. If not for the badge, the Superb is really up there in every other aspect with the likes of C-Class and 3-Series. However, the owner of this particular Skoda Superb had very different ideas about his car. This modified Skoda Superb produces over 530 horses and can do the 0-100 kph sprint in just 3.3 seconds.
Seemingly a sleeper, this Superb does not really shout out its capabilities but it is almost supercar fast. The owner has done several modifications in stages to this Superb and the result is absolutely bonkers. But let’s address how it looks first. Well, like a pretty standard Superb with a very funky and colorful body wrap. The keen eyed amongst you will notice the subtle front splitter and the rear diffuser. But that’s all and it still looks sensational. That’s particularly because of the body wrap and that is what really shouts out its sporty credentials.
But let’s address the mechanical modifications now. And there are many. Stage 1 of the modification brought in a new ECU with a larger intercooler, cold inlet and a new exhaust system. Stage 2 saw some reprogramming of the ECU and by this time, the Superb was already producing 400 horses. The third stage of modification saw the coming of an aftermarket hybrid turbine with standard housing. The cartridges for the hot and cold parts were changed and the channels were also bored. The power figure was now up to 480hp. But its still not done yet.

There were further changes to the fuel system with a more powerful Walbro 450 submersible pump and some more changes to the engine compartment. It already producing well over 500 hp by now. Of course such a heavy modification will cause some internal damages to the car. The four-wheel drive system faltered, the high pressure pipes failed and so did the gasoline pump tubes. However, the owner resolved all the problems and gave the car other necessary mechanical hardware to be able to handle all that extra power. In came more powerful brakes in the form of Alcon 6-pistons 380mm discs, a larger hybrid turbine, sturdier engine mounts, forged connecting rods and pistons, a new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission in place of the 6-speed unit, an added oil trap for the engine and better fuel rating. That’s quite a long list.

The interiors were wrapped in new Alcantara leather. The last element to be thrown in were the new multi-spoke wheels with new rubber and there you have it – a perfect sleeper sedan. In the end, this Superb was producing as much as 530hp. The result was that the quarter mile came up in just 10.9 seconds. That’s faster than most other dedicated sportscars available on the market today. The 0-100kph time came in just 3.3 seconds. That’s Porsche 718 territory to give you a perspective. Office runs in this superb wouldn’t be quite the same anymore.
