Here’s a modified first-generation Maruti Swift that gets a Stage 1 Tuning and produces 176 BHP! That’s more than double than its actual power.
All three generations of Maruti Swift look good when modified. The latest one has its own sporty credentials but there was a completely different charm about the first-generation model. Here’s one such Swift that has received a big boost under the hood and perfect modifications to look like its imported sibling.
Talking about cosmetic upgrades, you can see the Swift Sport Bumper kit with more aggressive front and rear bumpers, chrome delete, new headlamps, boot spoiler and dual port exhaust. From the front, it actually looks like the Suzuki Kizashi, the fancy sedan that Marui sold in India for a brief period.

Inside the cabin, you can see Toora Racing Seats, Takata Racing Harness, Toora Deep Dish Steering Wheel and a Defi Boost Gauge. The steering wheel looks just amazing and also gives us the impression that the owner wants to do some serious racing. Wait till you hear about the performance upgrades done on this Maruti Swift.
Since its the first-generation model, it gets a 1.3 Litre petrol engine. The owner has equipped Haltech Sprint ECU upgrade, Garrett GT20 Turbo Upgrade, Intercooler Upgrade with Silicone Plumbing, Stage 1 Exedy Clutch Upgrade and Custom Twin Exit Exhaust System. That’s a lot of boost under the hood. All these upgrades help the hatch extract 176 BHP of peak power. That’s nearly 100 BHP more than the stock. In comparison, you have the Skoda Octavia 1.8 TSI which also produces 176 BHP.
Lastly, other remaining updates include Fidanza Performance Flywheel, Forged Pistons, Tein Super Street Adjustable Suspension, Electronic Damping Control and D1 Spec 6 Piston Brakes with 320mm Rotors. We are not sure how much money the owner has put in it but surely, its more than a Lakh or two.
