Through our sources, we got to know that Ford has 6 new cars in the pipeline. In the next couple of years, Ford will start filling up all the segments.
Ford India has very few cars in India right now and has not covered major segments as well. Its current lineup includes Figo, Freestyle, Aspire, EcoSport and Endeavour. However, we got to know that Ford is working towards the development of this and will soon take care of all the segments that it has left.
Based on the information that we have gotten, Ford is developing 6 new cars for the Indian market. Out of which, three will come between EcoSport and Endeavour. Possibly, it could be three new SUVs including a replacement for a 4.2 metre SUV, an unknown model and a mid-size SUV. We are not sure what the other three cars can be.

Now that its JV with Mahindra is in play, Ford wants to maximize its focus on other segments. While it has covered the premium compact hatch, sub-4-metre sedan and sub-4-metre SUV segment, there are still two segments left. One could possibly be a premium hatchback and a 10 Lakh sedan as well. There were earlier reports suggesting that Ford is planning a new generation EcoSport as well.
Ford is most likely developing a 4.2 metre SUV which will rival the likes of Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. This particular segment is one of the most popular one in India and slowly, every other manufacturer is planning a move for it. After that, the company is also readying a mid-size SUV that will go against MG Hector, Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV500.
The new mid-size SUV will borrow its platform as well as engines from the new generation XUV500. Also, they are working towards electric vehicles and one of these 6 cars could also include an EV. We have seen a prototype of Ford Aspire EV, but we are not sure if that will be the first Ford EV to launch.
