The price of BS6 Jeep Compass now starts at Rs 16.49 Lakhs. The SUV has been updated with BS6 petrol as well as diesel engines.
Jeep has silently discontinued the base-spec Sport variant of Compass. It is now available from the Sport Plus variant, which was second in line. It now comes in four trims – Sport Plus, Longitude, Longitude Plus and Limited Plus.
The Sport variant was priced at Rs 15.60 Lakhs, which was the starting price of Compass. Now, the starting price has increased by Rs 90,000. The Sport Plus variant is priced at Rs 16.49 Lakhs onwards (all prices ex-showroom).

Along with the Sport variant, Jeep has also discontinued the mid-spec Longitude (O) and Limited variant. The price range now starts at Rs 16.49 Lakhs up to Rs 24.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The off-road spec Compass Trailhawk goes for Rs 26.80 to Rs 27.60 Lakhs.
Under the hood, Compass gets a 1.4 Litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.0 Litre turbo-diesel engine. The petrol engine is capable of producing 160 BHP and 250 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine produces 170 BHP and 350 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines received a 6-speed MT with the option of a torque converter AT.
Features onboard Compass include Panoramic Sunroof, Rain Sensing Wipers, Automatic Headlamps, 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 8-Way Powered Driver Seat, Cruise Control, Dual Zone Climate Controls and Bi-Xenon Headlamps.

Safety features include Traction Control System, Rear Disc Brakes, Electronic Parking Brake, Reverse Parking Camera, Hill assist control, Auto-Dimming IRVMs and Six Airbags. It rivals the likes of Volkswagen T-Roc, MG Hector, Tata Harrier and Hyundai Tucson.
