Showcased at the Auto Expo 2020, MG G10 luxury MPV is all set to be launched by March 2021. It will be a fierce competitor to the new Kia Carnival.
MG G10 is a luxury MPV that is sold in many global markets, being very popular in China. Showcased at the Auto Expo 2020, we know that MG is going to launch its MPV in India, which will be the sixth car from the manufacturer.
We have a confirmed statement from MG Motor India suggesting that MG plans to launch the G10 MPV by March 2021. It will be a direct rival to the newly launched Kia Carnival and also the big daddy, Toyota Innova Crysta. However, the expected prices will say a different scene.
The prices of Carnival start off at Rs 25 Lakhs going up to Rs 35 Lakhs. Innova starts off at Rs 15 Lakhs and its range ends at Rs 23 Lakhs. Now, as for the MG G10, it is also expected to come in the 18 Lakhs to Rs 30 Lakhs range, undercutting the price of Carnival.

MG G10 is 5.16 metres long which makes it 150mm longer than Carnival. While we have just seen it at the Expo, we will get to know about its India-spec engine details and features in the coming time. It is basically a rebadged version of Maxus G10, sold by SAIC.
In the global markets, it is offered with two engine options. The list includes a 2.0 Litre turbo-charged petrol engine that produces 218 PS and 350 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine is a 1.9 Litre unit that produces 150 PS and 350 Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine comes mated to a 6-speed MT while its 6-speed AT version produces 224 PS. The diesel engine goes with a 6-speed AT as standard.
G 10 comes with a 7-seat, 9-seater and a 10-seat configuration. In India, it might come with the same three options. Even Carnival comes in three options including 7-seater, 8-seater and 9-seater. Innova comes as a 7-seater and a 8-seater.

Features on the G10 could include 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment, automatic sliding doors, dual-zone climate control, electric seat adjustment for the first and second row (only in 7-seater), panoramic sunroof, sensor-operated tailgate, reclining seats for all rows and much more. Features could be similar to what we see on the Carnival.
