With the global pandemic of Covid 19 Corona Virus spreading like a wildfire across the world, there has been lockdown across many countries including India. We highly recommend you to stay at home and not go out during the lockdown unless absolutely essential and allowed, else- Police Might Impound Your Car/ Bike during the lockdown. But in case you need to get out to get groceries, medicines or if you are in the category of exempt services like healthcare, you might have to go out. In case you are going out using your car, we recommend that you must disinfect your car from corona virus from time to time, especially the surfaces you are likely to touch or come in contact with. I know this can be a bit time-consuming process, but let us be real, we all have some disposable time these days during the lockdown, and what better way to use this time than to spend some of it to disinfect your car so that you don’t catch/spread the Covid 19 Corona Virus.
We have found a very useful and informative video on How To Disinfect your car from deadly viruses on YouTube which we have embedded below. Please check out this video for the complete process. There is a small bonus tip from our end- When you go out to get groceries or supplies, make sure you do not put any of it in your car’s cabin, put it directly in the trunk/ boot because that will keep the likely infected packages away from any other occupants who may sit in the cabin later. After you place the stuff in the boot, close the boot, sanitize your hands with the hand sanitizer and then open the doors (or touch the doorknob only after sanitizing the hands). If you think you might have touched your key fob with dirty hands, sanitize it with a few drops of hand sanitizer too, keys are a very common surface which can spread the infection. The thumb rule here is- “better safe than sorry”. I would leave you with this video below.
You may not get all the same brand of disinfectants in your country, so use whatever disinfectants you can get. Also, give higher priority to clean the surfaces which you physically touch when you use your car. Stay safe, be at home during the lockdown. Together, we will fight and win against the disease.
