Hyundai has managed to receive more than 10,000 bookings in seven days. The SUV is set to be launched in India on 17th March.
The launch of the new 2020 Hyundai Creta is just around the corner. Hyundai officially commenced its bookings a week back and in that time, there’s a new record. Breaking the last record created by Seltos, the Creta has bagged more than 10,000 bookings in a week.
In numbers, every day last week, around 1,500 people have booked the Creta. Or probably, you can say one Creta booked every minute. The prices will be delivered on 17th March, following which, we can expect the deliveries to commence by April first week.
Creta has always been a popular SUV when it comes to the budget of 15 Lakhs. First of all, it is one of the most feature-rich SUVs in the class, very reliable and of course, its stylish appearance. It actually competes with two different SUV segments.

The new version Creta and Seltos are based on the same platform and also use the same set of engines. However, the latter will be positioned as a sportier-looking SUV. Creta will use the same 1.5 Litre petrol and diesel engines along with the 1.4 Litre turbo-petrol TGDI.
The petrol engine produces 115 PS and 144 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine produces 115 PS and 254 Nm of peak torque. Lastly, the turbo petrol engine produces 145 PS and 247 Nm of peak torque. The petrol and diesel engines get a 6-speed MT as standard.
With petrol, you can choose a CVT gearbox as well. With the diesel engine, you have the option of a 6-speed torque converter AT. The turbo petrol engine comes mated to a 7-speed DCT as standard. On Seltos, you have the option of a 6-speed MT here too.
Features on Creta will include 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, Blue Link technology with 55 features, panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, rear reclining seats, auto touchscreen air purifier, rain-sensing wipers and much more.

In terms of safety, it gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, VSC, Hill Assist Control, Rear Disc Brakes, auto-dimming IRVM and rear parking camera. The expected price of new Creta is between Rs 10 Lakhs to Rs 17 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, it has already started reaching dealerships and bookings can be done online, on their official website too.
