The Tiguan AllSpace will also be using a different engine from the Tiguan. The Tiguan was powered by a 2.0L, four cylinder diesel engine with 143 bhp. Now, for 2020, Volkswagen has completely ditched diesel engines and the Tiguan AllSpace will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol that produces 190 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. The engine will come mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox as standard and power will be sent to all four wheels via VW’s 4Motion system. It was previously speculated that the Tiguan AllSpace will also be front wheel drive, just like the regular Tiguan.
