Kia has launched the Carnival at the 2020 Auto Expo for a starting price of Rs. 24.95 Lakhs and it goes all the way up to Rs. 33.95 Lakhs.
Kia has finally launched the carnival MPV in India for a price of 24.95 Lakhs at the 2020 Auto Expo. The Kia Carnival is essentially a rival to the Toyota Innova Crsyta but it offers a way more premium experience than the latter.
It takes the premium MPV class in India to a whole new level. It may be pricy is loaded to the brim. Also, the multiple seating configurations means that there’s a Carnival for every family size. Here’s the variant-wise price list:
The Carnival will get a 2.2 Litre BS6 compliant diesel engine, that produces 200PS and 440Nm of peak torque. The motor will come mated to Kia’s Sportsonic 8-speed torque-converter AT. Further, this MPV will be available in three trims – Premium, Prestige and Limousine. The Carnival will come in three seating configurations. 7-seater will come in two options – 4 captain seats with 3 sinking seats and another variation the 7 VIP, has the option of a second-row VIP seat, which will be even more premium than the captain seats.
The 9-seater variant will come with 6 individual captain seats and three sinking seats at the back. The 8-seater variant will come with individual captain seats on the second row and three sinking seats on the third. The Limousine Trim will only come as a 7-seater (VIP seats). The Premium trim will get an option of a 7-seater or an 8-seater. Lastly, the Prestige trim will get an option of a 7-seater or a 9-seater.
Features onboard the MPV include Dual Panel Electric Sunroof, VIP Seats with 10.1” Dual Touchscreen Rear Seat Entertainment System, One-Touch Power Sliding Door, LED Projector headlamps with LED DRLs Smart Power Tailgate, UVO Connect with Smartwatch, Smart Pure Air purifier and much more.
With the UVO connect Smartwatch, you can access remote engine start-stop, AC Control, Smart Pure Air control, horn/ light, door lock/ unlock, Tyre pressure and fuel level information. Most of these features can also be done through the UVO mobile app.
Other features include Tri-zone Auto AC, Electronic Parking Brake, Auto Defog windscreen, Smart Cruise Control, Front and Rear parking sensors, tilt and telescopic steering wheel adjustment and auto-dimming rear-view mirror. Safety features for the higher variants will get Electronic Stability Control with Hill Assist Control, Roll-over Mitigation and Cornering Brake Control, Side and Curtain Airbags, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and Front Parking Sensors.
Kia commenced bookings for the Carnival on January 21 for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh either online on the company’s official website or at any Kia dealers across the country. The company claims that it has already received more than 3500 bookings and 70% of them, made for the top-end variants.
