Tata has teased the upcoming H2X (Hornbill) micro SUV for the 2020 Auto Expo. The micro-SUV will rival the likes of Mahindra KUV100.
Tata is going to display its upcoming micro SUV, H2X at the 2020 Auto Expo. Ahead of the unveiling, Tata has teased the H2X or known as Hornbill. Tata showcased it at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, in a concept version.
Tata H2X will be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo on 5th February. Most likely, the H2X will debut in a production-ready form. It will enter one of the least popular SUV space in India, the micro SUV segment. In this segment, you only have the KUV100.
Tata H2X will sit between Tiago and Nexon, with its price ranging between Rs 4-7 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The engine will be the same that comes on the Tiago, the 1.2 Litre three-cylinder petrol Revotron engine.

The engine produces 86 BHP and 113 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT. It is built on the ARC platform that also comes under the Altroz. This platform can easily adapt to different powertrains and body styles.
Key design highlights of the SUV will include muscular wheel arches, sharp-edgy design, LED headlamps and DRLs and overall squarish design. The ground clearance will also be a highlight of H2X, just like the Nexon.
We are expecting to get premium features like auto-dimming IRVMs, Harman-sourced 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, height-adjustable driver seat, steering mounted audio controls and rear parking camera.

As told, the Tata H2X Micro SUV will go against the likes of Mahindra KUV100. Reports suggest that it will be slightly longer than the KUV, measuring around 3.85m long. Also, it will be more premium than KUV 100 in terms of features.
