After the Nexon EV, Tata will be introducing the Altroz EV and H2X EV. Interestingly, both will come at an affordable price of under Rs 10 Lakhs.
Tata Motors is now the only car manufacturer that is advancing swiftly in the EV space. After making the Tigor EV open for public buyers, it will also launch the Nexon EV soon. There will be two more EVs incoming after that.
One of them, as we know, is the Tata Altroz EV. The electric hatchback was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show last year and has already started doing rounds in India. Tata just launched the ICE-powered Altroz in India.
Following the Altroz EV, Tata will then bring the H2X EV. One of its anticipated upcoming models is the H2X micro-SUV. The design will be that of an SUV but with the dimensions of a small hatchback. It will definitely be more premium than the S-Presso and Kwid.

Further, both of these EVs will be priced under Rs 10 Lakhs, reportedly. An EV under 10 Lakhs is still a distant yet attractive affair. The H2X EV also has the capability to become the most affordable mass-produced electric car.
Pricing both the cars so affordable is because of the new ALFA-ARC platform that comes under. This platform is already adaptable to the requirements of an electric vehicle. Packed with Tata’s new Ziptron technology, they may turn out to be very good products.
The battery details are unknown as of now. As for the Tata Altroz EV, it could use the Nexon’s battery and electric motor. The latter gets a 30.2 kWh electric motor that produces 129 PS and up to 245 Nm of peak torque. It gets an IP67 rated liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery pack onboard.

The ARAI-claimed range of the Nexon EV is 312 Kms, which could come down to around 250 kms in real-world conditions. As for the H2X EV, it would get a considerably lower driving range and even lesser power figures.
