Tata has teased the Harrier Automatic ahead of its launch at the Auto Expo. It will get a 6-speed AT gearbox along with different drive modes.
Tata Harrier is finally going to get its automatic gearbox next month. The manufacturer has put out the teaser for the Tata Harrier Automatic. In the video, we can see that it also gets a minor facelift including some cosmetic upgrades and a new feature.
Tata Harrier will mostly get a Hyundai-sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Further, it will get three driving modes, traction control and hill descent control. The gearbox will also get a manual shifter for added convenience.
Under the hood, the BS6 Harrier will continue with its 2.0 Litre turbo-diesel engine. However, instead of its current 140 PS, the BS6 version will produce 170 PS and the same 350 Nm of peak torque. The 6-speed MT will also come as an option.

Upgrades on the BS6 Tata Harrier will get it new colour options and new 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. New features will include a panoramic electric sunroof, auto-dimming IRVMs, electric adjustment for the driver’s seat and new electric ORVMs as well.
BS6 Tata Harrier will demand a price hike of up to Rs 1 Lakhs on all the variants. Recently, it received its second price hike since the launch. The prices of the SUV now start off at Rs 13.43 Lakhs up to Rs 17.30 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
At the 2020 Auto Expo, Tata will also bring in the 7-seater version of Harrier. The name might be Gravitas and will be the flagship Tata model in the lineup. It will also get the same engine with the same power figures. The launch might not happen at the Expo, but a little later.

Tata Gravitas will definitely cross the 20 Lakh mark, with its base variants starting off near Rs 15 Lakhs. At this price point, we can see it going against the likes of Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson, along with the direct rivals of Harrier like XUV500 and Hector.
