The Hyundai Venue has been the best selling in its segment on several occasions and has now crossed 1 lakh bookings with the SX and SX(O) trims being in most demand.
Hyundai launched the Venue sub-compact SUV in India in May last year and since then, the Venue has been performing consistently well. It has even been the best-selling sub-compact SUV on several occasions on a monthly basis, replacing the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza from the top-spot. The company has now announced that the bookings for the Venue have crossed the 1 lakh mark.
It is the top-spec SX trim with the Bluelink connected technology and DCT gearbox and the SX(O) trims that are in most demand, constituting for more than 50% of all the trims in demand. Hyundai has now also started to export the Venue to overseas market and recently shipped 1400 units of the India-made Venue to South Africa. The company will also be manufacturing and exporting Left-Hand-Drive Venue SUVs to the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, in the future. Currently, the LHD model is under development.
The Venue has been so popular that it has been consistently trading places with the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza for the Number 1. spot in the Top 5 UV sales chart. In the month of July and August of 2019, the Venue was the best selling UV in the country with 9,585 and 9,342 units sold respectively in both the months. Displacing the Vitara Brezza from the Number 1. position is quite a task as it has been longstanding UV champion for quite some time.
