Interior design shots of the new 2020 Mahindra XUV 500 have been leaked, ahead of its debut at the Auto Expo in February.
Mahindra is going to launch the new generation XUV 500 in February 2020. The new model will sit on a new platform, get a complete styling makeover and get an all-new BS-6 compliant diesel engine, that is more powerful.
Ahead of the launch, camouflaged spy shots revealing the interiors of new 2020 Mahindra XUV 500 have been leaked. As we can see, it also gets a refreshed cabin with a large floating touchscreen infotainment system and a D-Cut steering wheel.
The instrument console seems to be part-digital and part-analogue with a large MID in between. The AC vents also get a new shape, but the controls for it seem to be the same. The front seats look comfier and offer a better side bolstering.

The new 2020 Mahindra XUV 500 will get a slightly longer wheelbase and its effect will come on the third row. Evident in the spy shots, the knee space in the third row has improved. The second row is likely to offer the same amount of space.
The new platform will be stronger and will also reduce the weight of the XUV 500. We expect the new XUV 500 to get better and stronger quality of materials used to build the SUV and also inside the cabin. New features onboard could include dual-zone climate control, a bigger sunroof, front parking sensors and much more.
Under the hood, the new XUV 500 will get a 2.0 Litre turbo-diesel engine. The motor will produce 180 BHP and around 350-400 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed AT.
