Next year, MG is bringing the 6-seater Hector which will remain the same size but get three rows. The upcoming variant has been spied testing.
MG Hector is one of the longest SUV in its segment, measuring over 4.6m long. It is not that smaller than the Toyota Innova and despite that, it is just a 5-seater. Taking care of that, MG has planned the 6-seater Hector as well.
MG Hector 6-seater is set to be launched in India next year and we might see it at the 2020 Auto Expo. Ahead of that, the SUV has been spied testing. In the latest spy shots, individual captain seats can be seen from the back.
The 6-seater Hector will get two individual captain seats for three rows. Instead of the 7-seater configuration that comes on MPVs like Ertiga and Marazzo, this configuration is more spacious and looks premium as well.

Powering the Hector are BS-4 compliant 1.5 Litre turbo-petrol and a 2.0 Litre turbo-diesel engine. Along with the petrol engine, you also get the mild-hybrid technology. The petrol unit produces 141 BHP and 250 Nm of peak torque. The diesel motor is capable of producing 170 BHP and 350 Nm of peak torque.
Features onboard the 6-seater Hector will be the same, including a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 7-inch coloured digital MID, 360-degree surround camera, Auto Headlamps, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, electronically adjustable driver and co-driver’s seat, I-Smart internet car technology, 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment, Cruise Control and more.
