Tata Motors has decided to showcase the futuristic Tata Nano, the Tata Nano Pixel at the Auto Expo 2012 at New Delhi in India in January 2012. The Nano Pixel is a more powerful and futuristic concept version of Tata Nano, based on the same platform, but it’s a stunningly attractive with modern gadgetry.

The Nano Pixel made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2011. It’s a three door car with Zero Turn toroidal traction-drive Infinitely Variable Transmission (IVT), which assists rotation of the outer rear wheel forwards and the inner rear wheel backwards, while the front wheels turn at acute angles. The Pixel is powered by a powerful 1.2 Litre 3 cylinder turbocharged engine with high fuel economy and low tailpipe emissions. It’s a forward looking design with attractive visual appeal. It features stable and comfortable drive for 4 passengers and can accommodate well with the congested city traffic and tight parking spaced.

As per the initial rumors and speculation that Tata Nano Diesel will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2012 in Delhi, it is highly unlikely that it will be that the Nano Diesel will be showcased there. The Nano Diesel may be launched later in 2012 while the focus of Tata Motors will be to promote the new Tata Nano 2012 and showcasing its technical competence by displaying Tata Nano Pixel with top notch technology and futuristic appeal.

Nano Pixel is smaller than the Nano in India and has a unique three door design. It also rides on wide and large wheels which make it look very sporty and cute. The doors open in the gullwing scissors style and make large and wide entrance path for the passengers while giving it a truly sporty stance.

Nano Pixel is the height of quality and sportiness a designer can reach with a small platform like Tata Nano making it a drooling design, a true head turner which is likely to attract oodles of crowd at the Auto Expo 2012 !
