You can now extend your warranty on your Renault car for up to 7 years or 1 lakh km over your standard or extended warranty under the Anytime Warranty Plan.
Renault India has announced that they are offering their cars and SUVs with an extended warranty of up to 7 years/1 lakh km under the its Anytime Warranty Plan. The plan essentially allows owners to extend their existing warranties by 1-year/20,000 starting from the third year, until the seventh year of ownership. However, this plan is subject to a cap of 1 lakh kilometers.
As standard, Renault offers a warranty of 2-year/50,000km on all its models, except for the Kwid. The Kwid gets a warranty of 4-year/1 lakh km as standard. This can be extended up to 5-year/1 lakh km under Renault’s standard extended warranty schemes. Under the new Anytime Warranty Plan however, owners can extended their standard warranty or extended warranty, to cover the car up until the seventh year of ownership or up to 1 lakh km.
This warranty plan can also be availed by customers even if their standard warranty package has expired and/or if the car has not been serviced at authorised service centres. Like most other warranty schemes, the Anytime Warranty Plan offers coverage for major components such as engine, gearbox, ECM, starter motor, alternator, differential, AC compressor and the steering box. Also offered with the package is roadside assistance service.

Prices for this warranty plan of course depends on the model. It starts from the range of Rs 5,775 for the third year for a Renault Kwid 0.8 and goes as high as Rs 21,550 for coverage for the seventh year for the Renault Lodgy. This price is applicable that have been maintained at an authorised service centre. For cars serviced at third-party garages, prices range from Rs 8,390 to Rs 34,175, for same.

Interestingly, Renault is also offering the Anytime Warranty plan on several Renault cars that have now been discontinued. And that includes the likes of the Pulse hatchback, Scala sedan, Fluence executive sedan and the Koleos SUV. Prices of the warranty plan for these discontinued cars range from Rs 7,820 to Rs 94,810 depending on model, year of coverage and service history.
