BYD Seal
The first vehicle on this list is the BYD Seal. It is a performance electric car from the Chinese auto giant which rivals the Tesla Model 3 abroad. After the e6 and Atto 3, BYD will introduce the Seal in India this month. For the Indian market, the Seal could feature a dual-motor setup and offer a choice between two battery packs – a 61.4 kWh option or an 82.5 kWh option. The smaller battery provides a range of 550 km, while the larger one extends the EV’s range to 700 km (CLTC) on a single charge. Charging for the smaller battery is facilitated by a 110 kW DC fast charger, while the larger one can utilize a 150 kW DC fast charger. Combined, these components generate a robust 523 hp, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. It proudly holds a full 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating. Its dimensions measure 4,800 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, and 1,460 mm in height. The new model retails for a starting price of Rs 41 lakhs (ex-showroom).
