Kia Seltos facelift should launch in India in the coming weeks. It will come with several upgrades, including a panoramic sunroof.
Since its launch in 2019, Kia Seltos has become quite popular in the Indian market. While the global variant received a facelift last year, the Indian version is getting an update this year. The new Kia Seltos Facelift is expected to be launched in India by July this year. It is tipped to come with several upgrades like a 160hp, 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine, two 10.25-inch displays, and a panoramic sunroof. Here’s all we know about the 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift so far:

ADAS
The new Kia Seltos will be the first Kia model in India to get the ADAS features. This will help the mid-size SUV take on the MG Astor and the upcoming Tata Harrier facelift. It will even give the Seltos a clear edge over its cousin, Hyundai Creta (at least until even the Creta gets upgraded with these features).
Panoramic Sunroof
While the Hyundai Creta has always been available with a panoramic sunroof, the Kia Seltos gets only a single-pane sunroof for our market. However, this will change with the advent of the facelift. The updated model will get a panoramic sunroof, at least on the top-end trim. This will help the Seltos rub shoulders with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor, and Hyundai Creta.
Refreshed styling
Regarding aesthetics, the upcoming car will come with new headlamps and a redesigned grille. The LED daytime running lamps are positioned slightly lower than before. However, they still run into the grille. The alloy wheels come with a new design as well. The profile has not changed much. Most changes are visible on the back. The 2023 model will feature a new set of tail lamps with a connecting LED lightbar that features e a Kia badge. The tail lamps are also connected by a chrome strip. The redesigned tailgate features a more considerable indentation for the number plate.

Safety Features
When launched, the Kia Seltos had loaded with segment-best safety equipment. Over the years, though, the competition caught up and offered a higher number of novelties than the Korean mid-size SUV. To make matters worse for Kia, the 3-star score from NCAP raised many fingers at the overall safety quotient of the SUV. This is precisely where the facelift will hold an edge over the outgoing model. The updated SUV will get a larger safety net and should come with six airbags as standard. Additionally, all variants are likely to come with hill-assist control, vehicle stability management, parking sensors, and a camera. Other than this, the SUV will even feature two 10.25-inch digital displays – one each for the infotainment and the instrumentation.
More Power
The current Kia Seltos is being offered with two engine options – 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. The former offers 115 PS and 144 Nm, while the latter belts out 115 PS and 250 Nm. Both the powerplants will be carried over to the facelift. Additionally, we’ll see the return of the tubro-petrol option. However, instead of the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol mill offered earlier, Kia could chose to offer the 1.5-litre option available on the Hyundai Alcazar. This engine offers a clearly stronger performance with a maximum power of 160 PS and a peak torque of 253 Nm. Transmission options will likely include a 6-speed IMT and a 7-speed DCT.

The 2023 Kia Seltos facelift will be priced from Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. The current mode ranges from Rs 10.9 lakhs to Rs 19.6 lakh (ex-showroom). As is obvious, akin to the current model, the 2023 facelift will compete with Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. It will also go up against the upcoming SUVs like Tata Harrier facelift and Honda Elevate.
