Maruti is about to launch the next-gen Swift-based Dzire in our market soon. Dzire is among the most successful sedans in India ever. It found applicable among private buyers, as well as fleet operators. Having been around in our market since 2008, I am amazed at the fact that it still commands immense demand. In fact, it continues to be the market leader in its segment. Not only that, it remains on the list of the top-selling cars every month. In recent times, we have spotted the test mule of the next-gen model doing rounds on the roads in various parts of the nation on many occasions. It sure looks like the launch is near. For now, let us glance at the details of some impressive concepts of the upcoming compact sedan.
5 Next-Gen Swift-Based Dzire Concepts
Concept #1
This first version of the Dzire looks quite curvaceous somehow. At the front, we see the resemblance with the new Swift. It gets the new LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs and a colossal new grille. On this occasion, the grille is finished in glossy black material while there is a thick frame around it which looks like it is constructed from dark chrome. Under that grille, the viewers get to see the silver skid plate which accentuates the sportiness of the sedan. Adjacent to that are fog lamps which are housed in a chrome compartment. On the sides, I find the alloy wheels quite elegant. They fill up the wheel arches neatly. Interestingly, the side profile is devoid of any creases which is unlike Swift. Look closely and you would even see the chrome belt running underneath the window. All in all, there are more curves in this virtual rendition than the actual Swift.
Concept #2
This next illustration encapsulates the rear profile of the Maruti Dzire. Here, the artist has taken a lot of liberty to demonstrate his creativity. We know that most digital artists design the front fascia of any car. But there are those rare occasions where they come up with a rendition for the tail section as well. In this case, the artist has borrowed the side profile from Swift. This includes the typical crease which runs the length of the side profile. However, the taillamps are fresh. They bear a split-LED layout which reminds us of some premium German cars. Also, there is an integrated spoiler on the bootlid. I am fascinated by the fact that the entire appearance of a car can change so much just by tweaking the taillamps. The bumper also looks quite sporty.
Concept #3
Next up, we have another digital concept of the next-gen Swift-based Dzire. This time around, the designer has taken a lot of inspiration from the new Swift. As a result, we witness a side profile with a characteristic crease which runs from the front fender to the taillamp, just like on Swift. Apart from that, the front fascia even bears a similar LED headlamp cluster with integrated LED DRLs. This unit comes with a dark background which elevates the sporty nature of the Dzire slightly. Additionally, it gets the same grille as the new Swift but the logo on the bonnet is smaller. Finally, the bumper is redesigned to be sportier and the fog lamps are housed inside a chrome capsule. There is even a hint of the rugged skid plate-type of element in the lower part of the bumper.
Concept #4
I feel that this virtual illustration might turn out to be the closest to the production model. It looks the least customized which enhances its realistic attributes. At the front, the way the bonnet and overall structure is designed is like the latest Swift. The radiator grille resembles the Swift too but the logo on the bonnet is tiny. Flanking this grille are LED headlamps with LED DRLs integrated inside the clusters. Apart from that, this avatar gets a relatively simple fog lamp unit with black housing and a black skid plate area under the bumper. On the sides, the alloy wheels look quite attractive and the side profile is also pretty similar to the regular Swift. The tail section is not visible in this rendition. Still, I believe something like this could definitely make it to production.
Concept #5
Let us conclude this list of the next-gen Swift-based Dzire concepts with a rather unique model. All previous iterations bear a high resemblance with the latest fourth-generation Swift in some way, shape or form. However, this last illustration takes a slight deviation from that norm. It gets colossal grille which doesn’t look like any Maruti Suzuki car. Also, the headlamps are slim with LED DRLs integrated inside them. At the centre, there is a compact Suzuki logo. On the extreme edges of the bumper, you will find an air intake slot which is what supercars get. All in all, this has to be the most unique digital concept of the Dzire. However, I don’t think we will see anything like this in the flesh.
