Rekha Sindhu
The first prominent star on this list of famous Indians in car accidents is Rekha Sindhu. She was an Indian actress and model who primarily worked in Kannada and Tamil TV serials. She was just 23 years of age when she met with a fatal accident. As per various reports online, she was travelling on the Chennai-Bengaluru highway on May 5, 2017. She was commuting in her Nissan Sunny sedan. There were 3 more passengers in the car. Unfortunately, the car collided with a truck and the impact was so severe that all four passengers lost their lives. To lose such a young and promising actor is extremely saddening.

Cyrus Mistry
Cyrus Mistry was the Chairman of the Tata Group from 2012 to 2016. He met with an accident when he was travelling in his Mercedes GLC SUV on September 4, 2022. He was travelling with three members of the Pandole family to visit the Iranshah Atash Behram at Udvada. Reportedly, he was seated in the back when the SUV crashed at 90 km/h. It hit the divider on the bridge on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai NH8 over the Surya River near Charoti. Since he was not wearing a seatbelt, the crash killed him on the spot. The other person seated with his at the rear also met the same fate. The front passengers were wearing seatbelts and were able to survive the crash albeit with major injuries. After this crash, the Indian government made it mandatory for even the rear passengers to wear seatbelts.

Rambha
Rambha is a prominent former actress in the Indian film industry. She did a few films back in the 1990s and early 2000s. She has worked with some of the top actors in the industry. Rambha married a Sri Lankan businessman and the couple now resides in Canada. They own a Tesla Model X there. The former actress took to social media to inform her followers about her car crash. In fact, her children were also in the car during this crash. Thankfully, everyone survived with some injuries. This is a rare case where the accident of the Indian actress took place outside the country. Still, this is a testament to the build quality of Tesla cars.

Gayatri Joshi
Gayatri Joshi is yet another familiar face from a couple of decades ago. In fact, she is the famous actress who worked opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the cult movie Swades. She quit acting after getting married to his billionaire husband, Vikas Oberoi. She was travelling in a Lamborghini during the Sardinia Supercar Tour somewhere between Teulada and Olbia in Italy. The dashcam footage recorded the entire incident. They survived this crash with minor injuries. The condition of their car was terrible. However, the reports mentioned that an elderly Italian couple was dead in this crash. She shared the status of her safety via social media.

Vikas Malu
Finally, we have Vikas Malu on this list of famous Indians in car accidents recently. Vikas Malu is one of the richest people in the country. He is the Direcotr of Kuber Group. He has a particular affinity toward Rolls Royce cars. Recently, he was involved in a horrendous crash in his Rs 10 Crore-Rolls Royce Phantom VIII. As per the news reports, this crash took place when the vehicle collided with a petrol tanker on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. As soon as the vehicle hit the tanker, it was set ablaze. He and the passengers of the car survived the crash. However, two people in the tanker died. Vikas was called by the Haryana Police for questioning.
