Maruti Suzuki car exports have been rising for a few years now. In fact, 40% of total car exports from India come from Maruti Suzuki. It is the largest car manufacturer in India. It has held that title for a couple of decades now. While the demand in the domestic market is extremely high, it also exports its cars to dozens of nations across Asia, Australia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Latin America. Essentially, it ships made-in-India vehicles across the globe. That boosts the local economy and contributes significantly to the GDP of the nation. In order to expand further, Maruti Suzuki has invested Rs 20,000 Crore in Khakhoda, Rs 20,000 Crore for EV plant and Rs 10,000 Crore for battery and EV-related infrastructure.

Maruti Suzuki Car Exports
In a recent interview at the Republic Summit with Republic World, Senior Executive Office at Maruti Suzuki, Mr. Shashank Srivastava highlighted that Maruti Suzuki is the largest export of passenger vehicles in India with around 40% of all PVs manufactured in the country. He also informs that India is the number 1 country in terms of two-wheeler, three-wheeler and tractor manufacturing. It ranks 3rd on the list of the largest passenger vehicle manufacturers in the world. He said, “Currently, the share of the automobile industry in GDP stands at 7.5%. The target for us is to take it up to 12% of GDP.”

The list of vehicles Maruti Suzuki exports is extensive. In fact, it ships almost all its models to various parts of the country including the Swift, Celerio, Baleno, Brezza, Grand Vitara, Fronx, Dzire, S-Presso, etc. Countries with similar mentality toward cars are huge consumers of made-in-India cars. Maruti makes some of the most fuel-efficient cars in the world. That is a prime concern for a whole lot of car buyers across the globe. In the last few years, it has worked on equipping its cars with the latest tech and convenience features as well. Hence, they are attractive value propositions due to their enticing prices.
