Citroen C3 Aircross 3rd Row Seats
During our recent media interaction at the Citroen event, we got a chance to experience the C3 Aircross in the flesh. We would reserve our verdict until our review is online. However, during the event, there was a particularly special moment. We decided to record how much time it takes to remove the 3rd-row seats of the mid-size SUV. Note that it comes with a 5+2 setup. The 2 seats at the extreme rear could be easily used as per your needs. It can carry children quite easily. When not needed, you could take them out in no time. In fact, in our experiment, it took us just 12 secs to remove them completely.

Specs
The Citroen C3 is set to come with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that delivers a decent output of 110 hp and 190 Nm of peak power and torque. In its initial release, the car will solely offer a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the potential inclusion of an automatic variant might come at a later stage. It boasts an impressive ARAI-certified mileage of 18.5 km/l. We will come to know the pricing at the launch as well. That is what the deciding factor could be in a price-conscious market like India.

What We Think
It is quite difficult for any new carmaker to compete in this segment in our country. The stronghold that the Koreans have in this category is quite impressive. This includes the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. On top of that, the Maruti Grand Vitara is wooing customers away ever since its launch too. This leaves limited room for any new player. Having said that, Citroen has a trick up its sleeve. The 3rd row of the C3 Aircross, despite being compact, could be the game changer. For definite consequences, we shall have to wait for the launch. The sales numbers will inform us of the full story of how well people receive it.
