Without a doubt, the Cybertruck has held the title of the most eagerly awaited electric pickup truck for quite a few years ever since Tesla unveiled it in 2019. However, the production of this cutting-edge truck encountered numerous setbacks for various reasons. The initial launch date saw repeated delays, causing frustration among Tesla enthusiasts and those who had already placed their reservations. Here are some reasons why we might not see it on the roads anytime soon.

Why Tesla Cybertruck Could Delay More
Exterior
Tesla is known for making cars with futuristic styling and the Cybertruck is a prime example of that, well, at least the concept version of it. As per a leaked internal email last month, Elon Musk told the employees that the Cybertruck needs to be “designed and built to sub 10 micron accuracy”. This means that the panel gaps will almost be imperceptible to the naked eye. That is quite an arduous task in the production phase. Therefore, this might lead to further delay.

Specs of Cybertruck
There are still limited details of the specifications of the Cybertruck. We don’t know the details of the electric motors, battery or other components. Tesla, in general, keeps the details of its EVs slightly hidden. Until now, there are only speculations regarding what we could expect from the electric truck. This includes things like quad-motor configuration and other hardcore off-roading equipment.

No Launch Date Yet
Finally, there is no launch date on the anvil as yet. In fact, last month, the electric car maker said that its customers could even buy invitations to the Cybertruck delivery event using 30,000 referral credits which the owners get through Tesla purchases. But so far, there have been no launch dates in sight. All these aspects are some reasons why the Tesla Cybertruck could face even further delay till we witness this on the road. Nevertheless, we shall keep an eye out for what lies ahead.
