Maruti Brezza is about to get a slew of new safety features for the 2025 model
The 2025 Maruti Brezza will contain some new safety elements to make the entire proposition more exciting. Brezza has been one of the most successful compact SUVs in the country ever since its launch back in 2016. This category is extremely popular as people get the opportunity to experience an SUV without having to spend a huge budget. As a consequence, we see almost every major car marque offer a product in this space. For now, let us take a look at the details of this case here.
2025 Maruti Brezza To Get 6 Airbags
This video stems from Turbo Vs GT (IND) on YouTube. The host in the video mentions that the new model year Brezza will be a bit more attractive than the existing model. This is due to the fact that the compact SUV will now get 6 airbags, rear headrests, 3-point seatbelt, adjustable seatbelt height, 60:40 split rear seats and rear cup holders as standard. These standard amenities will make the base model even more enticing for potential car buyers. In all honesty, we expect all these features as standard in a car which costs Rs 9 lakh anyway.
What remains the same is what powers the compact SUV. We will continue to see the familiar 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine and the same engine with a CNG option. These mills generate a healthy 103 PS and 138 Nm with the petrol and 89 PS and 121.5 Nm of maximum power and torque with the CNG fuel, respectively. With the petrol mill, one can choose between a 5-speed manual or an automatic gearbox, while the CNG iteration is on sale only with the 5-speed manual. You can expect a mileage of 17.38 km/l with the manual, 19.8 km/l with the automatic and 25.51 km/kg with the CNG.
Specs | Maruti Brezza |
Engine | 1.5L (P) / 1.5L (CNG) |
Power | 103 PS / 89 PS |
Torque | 138 Nm / 121.5 Nm |
Transmission | 5MT & AT / 5MT |
New Prices
It is obvious that the introduction of additional safety airbags is bound to raise the cost of the SUV. Hence, we see a price increase of up to Rs 15,001 in comparison to the 2024 model. Since the top models already get 6 airbags, their prices have remained unaffected. The base LXi trim is now Rs 15,001 more expensive, while the VXi model experiences a price hike of Rs 5,500. Finally, this amount is Rs 11,500 for the ZXi variant. A detailed price table is as follows:
Variant | New Price | Old Price | Difference |
LXi | Rs 8.69 lakh | Rs 8.54 lakh | Rs 15,000 |
VXi | Rs 9.75 lakh | Rs 9.69 lakh | Rs 5,500 |
ZXi | Rs 11.26 lakh | Rs 11.14 lakh | Rs 11,500 |
ZXi (DT) | Rs 11.42 lakh | Rs 11.30 lakh | Rs 11,500 |
