A new generation Toyota Fortuner is long overdue in our market in the 7-seat off-roading SUV segment
The 2024 Toyota Fortuner has been imagined by a digital automobile artist based on an allegedly leaked picture. The Fortuner stands out as the top-performing premium off-roader in the country. Although it has been popular since its debut, the lack of a strong rival like the Ford Endeavour has resulted in potential buyers having limited options to consider. As a result, the Fortuner becomes the preferred choice for many. Therefore, it is crucial for Toyota to develop newer versions that will keep the Fortuner brand competitive in the constantly changing market. Consequently, a significantly updated version of the SUV is currently in the works.

In the aforementioned leaked image, one could see the front fascia inspired by the latest Innova Highcross to some extent. Based on this, an artist has visualised the SUV in a neat render. The end result looks pretty convincing and has Land Cruiser vibes to it. This highlights of the design include a sleek LED headlamp cluster with LED DRLs above it, a large front grille with horizontal slabs that also extend sideways underneath the headlamps, horizontally positioned LED DRLs/fog lamps on the extreme edges of the bumper and sturdy skid plate underneath. On the sides, we witness the typical Fortuner silhouette with a window line that is slightly contoured toward the rear and black B, C and D pillars. There is a prominent sidestep to enhance the ingress and egress characteristics of the SUV. The alloy wheels look stylish as well. All in all, this digital iteration still has a lot of ties with the existing model.
