New Render Teases 2024 Skoda Octavia Facelift

The 2024 Skoda Octavia facelift was recently teased by a rendering. Octavia has been a popular vehicle in our market for years now. It always offers exquisite driving experience with great performance, ride and handling. That is the primary reason why driving enthusiasts opt for it. However, in recent times, almost every sedan segment has been affected by the onslaught from SUVs. Apart from that, the Octavia in India has become quite premium now. For reference, the existing model retails between Rs 27.35 lakh and Rs 30.45 lakh, ex-showroom. Let us take a look at what to expect from the facelift model.

2024 Skoda Octavia Facelift Teased

These images come to us from kolesaru on Instagram. They capture what the facelift model could look like based on the official teaser and the design of the current model. At first glance, you would barely be able to spot any significant distinctions. However, look closely and you will instantly experience the tweak on the LED DRLs and LED headlamps. In fact, the DRLs now form the eyebrow of the headlamp in comparison to being position in the lower section of the headlamp cluster in the current version. Apart from that, the bumper is fresh. This rendition either doesn’t have fog lamps or they are neatly concealed in the contours of the bumper.

Additionally, the alloy wheels design is new too. But that is generally the case with all facelift models. There are barely any changes to the side profile. But that is not necessarily a bad thing considering it looked elegant forever. It is fascinating to witness just how subtle the modifications to the rear section are. The sleek LED taillamps retain the split setup and the Skoda lettering on the bootlid is also similar. However, the rear bumper is new which now looks much sportier. There is a shark fin antenna and chrome belt around the window frames. All in all, this is a facelift model design which might make it to production.

Skoda Octavia is among the most powerful sedans in its segment. In its existing iteration, it comes with a familiar 2.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine which generates a healthy 190 PS and 320 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine pairs with a sporty 7-speed DSG transmission which powers the front wheels. This is the same engine-transmission combination we see in a lot of cars under the VW Group. This engine has an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 15.81 kmpl. There are disc brakes on all four wheels and the 4.69 m long sedan has a wheelbase of 2.68 m. This ensures acres of room to pamper the occupants. We expect all these features to carry on to the facelift model too.
