The first ownership experience of the 2024 Maruti Swift is out. Maruti launched the new generation Swift in India just a couple of weeks ago. It comes with tons of modern amenities, enhanced standard safety features, aesthetic upgrades and a brand-new engine. Hence, almost everything is new in comparison to the old model. However, the differences in terms of external styling and features list are not all that many. For now, let us see what a user says about driving the new Swift for around 2,200 km.
2024 Maruti Swift First Ownership Experience
This video comes from MRD Cars on YouTube. It captures the opinions of the vlogger about the new Swift after driving it in the city, highway and mountain roads. Firstly, he opted for the base Lxi model. But he approached the aftermarket modification shop to get a few accessories installed. These include things like the new steering wheel, infotainment display, alloy wheels, broad tyres, seat covers and more. Regarding the driving experience, he says that this new Swift is not a very peppy car to drive in the mountains.
During the slopes, he was feeling that the car was underpowered. He specifically mentions that he had to accelerate hard to pick the car up from a standstill on inclines. Even on the highway, the comfort was not as good as the Baleno, which is also priced similarly. Unfortunately, the large tyres and alloy wheels have caused a huge dent in the mileage of the car. That is true with every car which gets larger alloy wheels than its stock settings. In any case, the vlogger suggests that the Baleno would be a better option due to its comfort and the kind of space inside the cabin.
