A latest case emerges where a 2024 Maruti Swift collides with a Baleno. The Swift involved in this crash is the latest fourth-generation model. It was launched a few weeks ago. That is why this Swift bears a temporary number plate. The biggest talking points of the new Swift include its new engine, 6 airbags as standard across the range, the highest fuel economy in its segment and a few aesthetic enhancements. For now, let us take a look at the details of this crash.
2024 Maruti Swift Collides with Baleno
This post comes from Harsh VLOGS on YouTube. The host narrates the details of the horrific accident. It involved the new Maruti Swift, Baleno and Brezza. It is clear that this is a head-on collision. Also, the speed of both cars could have been relatively high. The impact deformed the front fascia of both cars quite severely. The bumper, bonnet, headlight, fender, tyre, windshield, etc, have been thoroughly impacted. Thankfully, no one was injured in this crash.
In the new 2024 Maruti Swift, all 6 airbags have been deployed. Perhaps that was the reason why no one got injured in this accident. On the other hand, the Baleno is also in a dilapidated condition and its airbags have opened as well. There is no damage to the Brezza apart from a tyre burst. All in all, we can’t judge the safety prowess of a car based on a single isolated incident. Still, to see such major damage to the exterior of two top-selling cars is a bit disappointing.
Our View
I keep reporting road accidents on a daily basis. I would like to caution my readers against flouting traffic regulations. It is high time we start adhering to the traffic protocols to ensure that unfortunate cases could be minimised, if not eliminated. Most road crashes take place due to overspeeding. That could also be the reason for this incident here. Let us hope that people learn from such cases and follow safe practices to boost road safety.
