5 Foreign Reviews of the 2024 Maruti Swift
Review #1
The first review comes from Autogefühl on YouTube. He is a German car presenter and reviewer. He has the new generation Swift. The first thing he mentions about the Swift moniker is that it has a large fan base because the vehicle is comfortable, affordable and always has some interesting things. For instance, this model of the Swift boasts the radar for an upgraded driver assistance system. Additionally, there are aesthetic changes like the new and broad front grille, sleek LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, 16-inch aluminium alloy wheels, black side pillars, new LED taillamps, roof-mounted spoiler, sporty bumper, and more.
He even says that while driving it, one could expect better aerodynamics, a quieter ride because of the added damping material, less rolling resistance on account of the tyres and wheels, efficient fuel economy due to the mild hybrid powertrain and AWD system with high ground clearance. On the inside, there are all the latest gadgets and gizmos and storage spaces along with safety equipment on offer to pamper the occupants. All in all, the reviewer is impressed by what the vehicle offers at the entry-level price point of €20,000 (approx Rs 17.80 lakh INR).

Next up, we have the auto media from the UK reviewing the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift. This review comes from What Car? on YouTube. Note that the UK is the latest market to get the new Swift. Again, the exterior and interior are largely similar to the German model and the one we saw at the Japanese Auto Show. Hence, we won’t dive into those details again. But the presenter mentions that Swift has been around since the 1980s. However, Suzuki officially considers the first generation model of the Swift to be the 2004 version. Going by that logic, this new Swift comes out to be the fourth-generation version. Interestingly, this new Swift is identical in terms of width and height to the outgoing third-generation model.
He also mentions that it is still based on the same platform as the third-gen model which is almost a decade old. There are 7 monotone and 4 dual-tone paint shades to choose from. This new mild hybrid 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine can give up to 8% better fuel economy compared to the outgoing K15 Series 1.2-litre 4-cylinder mill. Furthermore, this engine is less polluting and complies with the latest emission norms. Overall, he is impressed with the driving dynamics of the car as well. This includes the performance, acceleration, ride quality and handling.

The next part of this list of the foreign reviews of the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift comes from Ireland. This post comes from Nobby On Cars on YouTube. The host directly starts his review by stating that he is genuinely blown away by the pricing of the car. It costs around €21,500 in Ireland. The first impressive aspect at this price point he mentions is the Blind Spot Monitoring System. He admits that he has driven cars which are 5 times as expensive, without this feature. Also, he informs the viewers that the new Swift comes with Adaptive Cruise Control. Not just that, the Japanese carmaker had taken feedback from the customers to retune this system to maintain less gap to the vehicle ahead.
Apart from that, the host mentions that this is around 20 mm longer than the third-generation Swift with a 265-litre boot compartment. However, the space for the rear passengers is great. He likes the fact that there is the option of a 7-year-warranty on the Swift which covers everything. As a result, the ownership experience of the car owners will be greatly enhanced. In terms of driving, there is minimal body roll, high fuel economy, a peppy ride and decent handling capabilities. All in all, the Irish reviewer is thoroughly impressed by the new 2024 Swift.

The fourth foreign review of the 2024 Maruti Swift comes from the Auto Social UK channel on YouTube. The presenter says that Suzuki has purposely not changed the exterior of the fourth-generation Swift too much because the existing customers loved the way the current model looks. If it ain’t broken, why fix it! Still, since this is a new generation model, there are subtle changes to the exterior like the redesigned headlamps, a new bumper and radiator grille, the Suzuki logo has now been shifted on the bonnet instead of the grille, the alloy wheels are new, the tail section has been updated and there are addition of new features.
On the inside, the new touchscreen infotainment system now sits on top of the dashboard. That makes it easily accessible since it almost coincides with the line of sight of the driver. Apart from that, there are all sorts of modern tech, connectivity, convenience and safety features. The physical buttons for AC vents are a welcome change. While driving, the host highlights the consequence of soundproofing in this car. It has made the entire car a lot quieter. Additionally, the overall performance, handling and ride quality are great.

Finally, this last review comes from Sims Suzuki on YouTube. He is an auto reviewer in Darlington, UK. He starts off the review by mentioning that Swift has been around for over 40 years in the UK. Its inception dates back to 1983. The Swift, as we know it today, came into existence only after 2004, as per Suzuki. During this course, Suzuki has sold over a whopping 9 million Swift cars across 169 countries. That serves as a testament to the popularity of this hatchback in various international markets. Just like the other car reviews, he loves the design of the new Swift along with the ample of modern amenities inside the cabin including the tech, convenience and connectivity functions. In fact, he even squeezes in 5 passengers which is a testament to the practicality of this compact hatchback.
