Since this is not a comprehensive facelift, the changes are not extensive. Still, there are some distinct elements which inform which model year it is. For instance, this model now gets a Napoli Black touch for the exterior. This includes components like black roof rails, sporty black alloy wheels and a black grille with a dark chrome finish. We are witnessing the use of dark chrome on many modern cars. Apart from that, the buyers also get an option of a dual-colour exterior paint with this Napoli Black roof. These are all the changes in the 2024 model from the outside.

Interior and Features
In terms of the interior layout and features, there are a few alterations in comparison to the 2023 model. Still, nothing has changed fundamentally. Moreover, there will be the option of getting captain seats in AX7 and AX7L variants too. Other prominent highlights include ventilated front seats with integrated ORVMs with a memory function to enhance the convenience even further. The AdrenoX suite from Mahindra (connected car tech) now offers 83 features including firmware over-the-air (FOTA) capabilities.

Sales and ‘White Glove Chauffeur Training Program’
Just to get an idea of the kind of success the XUV700 has achieved in our market, it makes sense to look at the sales numbers. Despite being the flagship SUV from Mahindra and costing around Rs 30 lakh, on-road for the top model, the Indian auto giant sold a whopping 74,434 units of the XUV700 in 2023 alone. Since its inception, Mahindra has been able to sell over 1,40,000 units. That is quite impressive. Additionally, the carmaker offers the ‘White Glove Chauffeur Training Program’ in metro towns every two months.

The aim is to familiarize the owners with the proper usage of ADAS functions, and emergency handling and get acquainted with the fault and error signs. All this will contribute toward making them informed about their cars. In India, the Mahindra XUV700 rivals the likes of the recently-facelift Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Jeep Compass. This means that the competition is stiff and Mahindra needs to put its best foot forward to remain successful in this space.
