These latest spy images have been shared by our reader Atul Dangi. He caught a glimpse of the test mule on a highway. While a lot of the body is under heavy camouflage, we can still make out the silhouette. The side profile gives away the true identity of this vehicle. It still carries that hunch above the rear fender which is typical of the existing XUV300. The alloy wheel design also looks familiar. It has roof rails to lend a sporty appearance. However, we get to witness the rear profile in these images. The new XUV300 will come with connected LED taillamps. This is a common trend among modern cars. There is a high-mount stop light and a traditional antenna. This informs that it is not the top variant.

Specs
I don’t anticipate any modification to the engine and gearbox options. The vehicle is likely to keep the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine, available in two variants – one with 110 hp and 200 Nm, and the other producing 130 hp and 230 Nm of peak power and torque. Additionally, there’s a 1.5-litre diesel engine generating 115 hp and 300 Nm. Both engines will provide the choice of a 6-speed manual transmission or an AMT gearbox. Whether Mahindra will replace the AMT with a torque converter automatic transmission remains uncertain. The current XUV300 is priced between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 14.76 lakh, ex-showroom. The facelift is expected to come at a slight premium over these prices.
